Urochem Backing cord is a low-density Polyethylene backing cord.

Once the joint has been prepared, the Urochem Backing cord is cut to length and pushed into the open joint. Care should be taken not to use any sharp instrument to regulate the depth of the Urochem backing cord, as puncturing of the Urochem Backing cord can lead to bubbles forming in the sealant caused by gassing.

Used to regulate the depth of sealant in most types of joints.

When forming any joint, it is critical that the correct width to depth ratios are used to ensure the best performance of the chosen sealant.

Clean all tools with Urochem 901 before the primer has cured as it is almost impossible to remove once this has occurred.

• All surfaces should be clean, sound, and dry, and all laitance or surface contamination should be removed.

• Vacuum or blow with compressed air to ensure total removal of dust prior to installation of the backing cord.
